Forest Department frees 69.4 acres from encroachers

The Department of Forests got 69.4 acres in Udhowal Khurd village freed from illegal occupation. The officials of Samrala range conducted the operation with the help of the police.

This land would now be developed into a “forest area” in a systematic manner so that it helps in saving the environment.

While providing this information, Charanjit Singh, Divisional Forest Officer, Ludhiana, stated that under the Mission Fateh of the Punjab Government, 69.4 acres located at Udhowal Khurd village has been freed from illegal occupation.

He said this land had been under illegal occupation for a long time and with the efforts of Forests Minister Sadhu Singh Dharamsot and Deputy Commissioner Varinder Sharma, this land would be developed into a “forest area”. He said work of planting saplings was started in this particular land today.
