Expert deliberates on travelling amid Covid

Keeping in mind that in coming times, traveling patterns and habits are going to witness a major overhaul, FICCI FLO, Ludhiana, under the aegis of Mannat Kothari, chairperson, curated an event — ‘Travel Reboot: Post Covid’ with Ankush Nijhawan, managing director, Nijhawan Group, and co-founder, TBO group. He spoke about his journey into the travel and tourism industry and how he established the Nijhawan brand and revolutionised it.

The event was kick-started by Mannat Kothari and Neha Gupta, junior vice-chairperson, gave the welcome address. Sheetal Lyall, day chair of the event, invited the moderator to take over the stage. Amrita Singh, director of Airnet Travels and Cargo Private Limited, moderated the session with Ankush Nijhawan.

Ankush Nijhawan, a BBA graduate from Boston, majored in marketing and psychology. Today, he is thriving with his strategic vision and direction to the Nijhawan Group to be a leader in the travel industry.

He addressed various queries regarding travelling, safety measures at airports, whether insurance covers Covid expenses, medical facilities at various destinations during the pandemic and quarantine laws at various cities.

The floor was then left open for a question-answer session to 150 members along with their spouses who got their doubts cleared. The event was much needed amid these times when everyone while struggling to fight the pandemic has to plan their business as well leisure trips. — TNS
