Ex-councillor complains of contaminated water supply in Chawani Mohalla

Anita Krishan Kharbanda, a former councillor, has complained to the MC about contaminated water being supplied to Chawani Mohalla in Ward No. 84. Kharbanda alleged that a dyeing unit was being run in the area illegally.

“Untreated water from the dyeing unit is getting mixed in the water supply line due to which the residents are getting contaminated water supply. The chances of a disease outbreak can’t be ignored if timely steps are not taken. I request the MC Commissioner to get the issue resolved,” she added.
