Ludhiana, September 9

The Ludhiana regional office of the Employees Provident Fund Organisation (EPFO) has launched a special campaign for e-nomination of employees.

The two-day drive was launched on Thursday as part of the nationwide e-nomination campaign under the ‘Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav’ to commemorate the 75 years of India’s Independence, Regional Provident Fund Commissioner (RPFC)-I Dheeraj Gupta said here.

He said the EPFO regional office has reached out to over 3.5 lakh active employees as its subscribers working in almost 7,000 establishments registered with it in Ludhiana through e-mail messages and social media networks.

The RPFC said the e-nomination helps in getting Provident Fund (PF), pension (EPS) and insurance (EDLI) benefits easily on member’s death. “EPF members must file their e-nomination as early as possible to provide social security to their families and get PF, EPS and EDLI benefit online without any hassle,” he urged the subscribers.

Gupta exhorted the employees and the employers to actively take part in the Amrit Mahotsav and ensure 100 per cent e-nomination of all employees working in their establishments and the same shall be completed at the earliest. “The employers have been requested to run a targeted campaign in their establishments on September 9 and 10 for e-nomination of their employees,” he added. —TNS
