Desilting work of Ganda Nullah begins

Ludhiana, June 12

In view of the monsoon, the Ludhiana MC today started desilting work of Ganda Nullah near Damoria Bridge.

Mayor Balkar Singh Sandhu, Commissioner Kanwalpreet Kaur Brar and Jai Parkash, councillor of ward number 90, among others, visited the spot. The MC officials said the nullah was covered and the waste collected beneath it. Superintending Engineer, Rajinder Singh said the civic body has started desilting work of the nullah and it will be uncovered.

After desilting of the nullah, residents of ward number 90 and nearby areas will get a relief from waterlogging during monsoon, said an official. — TNS
