Ludhiana DC unveils pictorial work on Punjabi

The Ludhiana Deputy Commissioner Sakshi Sawhney unveiled the pictorial work depicting importance of Punjabi language along with Punjab Agricultural University VC Dr Satbir Singh Gosal, MC Commissioner Sandeep Rishi and lawyer Harpreet Sandhu during an event dedicated to International Mother Language Day, 2024 at PAU here today.

Speaking on this occasion, the DC said that the event with special preview of documentary film and pictorial work compiled by city lawyer aims to educate the society and students towards adopting their mother language, preserving cultural heritage and play an important role to keep future generations attached to the community. She also emphasised that Punjabi is a very impressive language and we all need to promote it.

PAU Vice-Chancellor Dr Satbir Singh Gosal said that we all need to promote our mother language Punjabi, enabling to connect the youth towards their tradition. Applauding the efforts for compiling an educative documentary film and the pictorial work depicting the importance of Punjabi, Gosal said we all witness that in developed nations as well, the mother language is the top priority.

Municipal Commissioner Sandeep Rishi appreciated the efforts towards the initiative promoting Punjabi. PAU Registrar Dr Rishi Pal Singh said that it was the need of the hour to prioritise Punjabi language.
