Covid: 19 more test positive in Ludhiana district

Ludhiana, July 5

A total of 19 persons have tested positive for Covid while no loss of life due to the virus was reported in the district on Tuesday.

A total of 1,10,558 persons have tested positive and 2,293 patients have lost their lives to the deadly virus since March 2020 in the district.

There were 152 active cases on Tuesday, of which 146 have been asked to isolate themselves in their homes while six are admitted to private hospitals.

The recovery rate of Covid patients has gone down to 97.79 per cent.

Till date, a total of 37,16,391 samples have been taken, of which 35,90,986 were found negative. — TNS
