Students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir (BVM), Udham Singh Nagar, celebrated International Youth Day with zeal. Students of senior secondary classes prepared PPT’s to present their views on the occasion. Palak Jassal, a student, apprised everyone with this year’s theme. She said the day is observed to highlight the contribution of youth in global development. Principal Bandana Sethi urged students to realise their prime duties and work actively to bring a positive change in society.

Drishti Dr RC Jain Innovative School

Tiny tots of grade nursery, Drishti Dr RC Jain Innovative School, celebrated Janmashtami with great pomp and show. Children decked up as Radha and Lord Krishna looked charming. They dedicated the day to learn teachings of Lord Krishna. The adorable ‘Bal gopals’ played Raas-Lila and sang devotional songs.

Everest Public Sr Secondary School

To enjoy the festive mood of Lord Krishna’s birth, students of Everest Public Senior Secondary School, Ludhiana, has celebrated Janmashtami while staying at home. Boys of the kindergarten class came dressed in Lord Krishna’s attire and girls wore Radha dress. Rajinder Sharma, director, Everest Group of Schools, extended his greetings to the students. Students of classes I to XI participated in the events such as handi decoration, flute decoration and crown making with zeal. Children also danced on the Radha Krishna songs. TNS
