BVM students bag positions

Students of Bhartiya Vidya Mandir (BVM) Senior Secondary School, Udham Singh Nagar branch, bag positions in the Ludhiana Sahodaya Schools Complex Chess Competition held at BCM Senior Secondary School, Basant City, here on Wednesday.

Participants from different schools took part in this competition and those from BVM School, Udham Singh Nagar branch, made their presence felt, winning second position in the boys’ U-14 category.

The students namely Daman Sharma, Bisman Singh, Ridham Jain, Hitesh Sharma and Ansh Anand represented BVM School in this competition and secured 11 out of 16 points to finish at second place.

Likewise, in the girls’ U-14 section, students of this school, Klodia Saxena, Tahsika, Ruhani Sharma and Tanya Chopra too played well and got 9 out 16 points to fetch the fourth position.

Principal Bandana Sethi congratulated the winners and honoured them during the morning assembly. She also lauded the efforts of their coach Baljeet Singh Gill and other staff of the Physical Education Department on this achievement.
