Awareness drive on menstrual hygiene

Ludhiana, December 4

The Rotaract Club of Gujaranwala Guru Nanak Institute of Management and Technology (GGNIMT) organised an awareness drive on menstrual hygiene in the slums of Focal Point. Students and teachers organised the drive. The objective of the drive was to make women in the slum/backward areas aware about menstrual hygiene and ill effects of not maintaining cleanliness.

The drive was organised in association with Swap India Campaign. Prof Manjit Singh Chhabra, Director, GGNIMT, said there was a need to talk about woman’s health as she runs family. The drive was coordinated by RK Yadav, president, Yadav Mahasabha.—TNS
