63-year-old man booked for sexual harassment

Ludhiana, April 16

The Police Division 8 yesterday registered a case against a 63-year-old man for sexual harassment. The accused has been identified as Krishan Gopal of Durga Puri, Haibowal.

A woman journalist complained to the police that last week Krishan Gopal had taken her mobile number and the next day he sent objectionable and obscene photographs on her WhatsApp number. When she objected, Krishan Gopal instead of apologising for his act, started arguing with her.

The complainant said later she lodged a complaint and a case under the relevant sections of IPC and IT Act was registered against Krishan Gopal.

Investigating officer ACP Hairsh Behl said the accused is yet to be arrested in the case.
