Ludhiana, February 27
After making more than 40 roads of the city encroachment-free, the Ludhiana police are all set to remove encroachments from 60 more roads in the third phase of their drive. The police today released a list of the roads.
The Commissioner of Police, Rakesh Agrawal, has directed the police officials concerned to ensure compliance.
“We have covered 40 roads under the anti-encroachment drive in the first two phases. We are now adding 60 more roads to the anti-encroachment drive. We are giving shopkeepers, roadside vendors (rehriwalas) 15 days’ time to remove encroachments on their own, after that we will be forced to initiate legal action. All are requested to cooperate,” states the Police Commissioner in his orders.
