50 test positive in dist, no death reported in Ludhiana

Fifty persons tested positive for Covid in the district, while no death was reported today. Those who tested positive today included 16 persons referred from flu corners, 15 from OPDs, 11 contacts of positive patients, one health care worker and seven persons who were being traced.

Deputy Commissioner Varinder Sharma today said that under the “Mission Fateh” of the Punjab Government, the number of coronavirus patients getting cured in Ludhiana district was increasing with each passing day. He said there were 232 active patients in the district at present.

He said that sincere efforts were being made to keep people safe from Covid. He said a total of 50 new patients from Ludhiana district had tested positive in the last 24 hours.

He added said that till date, a total of 3,85,146 samples had been taken, out of which reports of 3,83,025 samples had been received. Of these, 3,60,104 samples were found negative, while the reports of 2,121 samples were pending.

He said now, the total number of patients related to Ludhiana was 20,184.
