3 booked in dowry case

Ludhiana: The women cell of the police has booked three persons on the charge of dowry harassment. They have been identified as Harminder Singh, his father Gurmeet Singh and Gurmeet's wife Sarabjit Kaur of Barnala. The complainant, Gurpreet Kaur told the police that her husband and in-laws were demanding Rs 10 lakh from her to apply family visa of a foreign country and when she failed to arrange, they started harassing her. Minor girl kidnapped

Ludhiana: A 17-year-old girl has been kidnapped by a man on the pretext of marrying her. The suspect has been identified as Vikas of Mustaq Ganj. Kirpal Singh of the same locality told the police that on September 14, his daughter left home without informing the family and later, he came to know that she was kidnapped by the suspect as he wanted to marry her. Travel agent booked

Ludhiana: The police have booked a travel agent on the charge of duping a man of Rs 14 lakh on the pretext of sending him to Canada. The suspect has been identified as Yogiraj of Mahi Nagar, Raikot. The complainant told the police that the agent had taken money from him and assured him of sending him to Canada, but failed. Later, he refused to return the money. TNS
