24 caught roaming around

Residents continue to roam on the road and streets with no valid reason for moving out. The police have arrested 24 persons from parts of the city for violation of curfew under section 188, 269 (spread of dangerous infectious disease), 336 (endangering safety of others) and 51-B of the Disaster Management Act.

Among those held are Rakesh Kumar Khurana (Satjot Nagar), Sukhdev (Guru Nanak Colony, Dehlon), Jindal Bahadur and Deepak Bahadur (Kanganwal), Chitranjan and Karti (Kailsah Nagar), Lov Verma (Labour Colony, Gill Road), Paras (Preet Nagar, New Shimplapuri), Raj Kumar (Mahan Singh Nagar), Sanjeev Kumar and his son Jatin Kumar (Raja Colony), Rajat Verma (Puadra village in Jalandhar), Aman Soni (Kalgidhar Marg,Shimlapuri), Pursharth (New Kundanpuri, Civil Lines), Sarwan Lal and Mohammed Javed (Chander Nagar), Gurmel Singh (Sasrali village), Sooraj (Sukhdev Nagar), Ganesh Singh (New Sandhu Colony), Gurmeet Singh (Sutantar Nagar), Vinod Kumar (Rajeev Gandhi Colony), Kallu Pal (Phase VIII, Focal Point), Ram Avtar (Jiwan Nagar) and Sukhwinder Singh (Gobindgarh village).
