2 snatchers nabbed with stolen bike in Ludhiana

The police have arrested two snatchers with a stolen motorcycle near the railway tracks at Jassian Chowk under sections 379-B/34 of the IPC. The suspects, identified as Manpreet Singh of Chhoti Haibowal and Varun Kumar of Partap Singhwala, had snatched a mobile from a person on July 25 while riding a motorcycle. They were nabbed at a naka following a tip-off. The stolen mobile phone was recovered from them and the stolen bike used in the crime was impounded.

Chain snatched

Suman of Ganpat Colony in Sahnewal reported that three women, who were riding a car, snatched her gold chain on July 18 on Dehlon Road in Sahnewal. She was going home on her scooter when the car overtook her forcing her to stop. “A woman alighted from the car, snatched her gold chain and escaped in the car,” said the complainant. The police have registered a case under sections 379-B/34 of the IPC.
