2 electrocuted at Radha Soami Satsang Ghar

Ludhiana: Two persons got electrocuted at Radha Soami Satsang Ghar, situated in Bhattian, near Mullanpur Dakha, on Friday. The deceased have been identified as Ratan Singh and Mahinder Singh. Both had been performing sewa at the Satsang Ghar from long time. The incident occurred when both were cleaning a shed while standing on an iron ladder. Unfortunately, the ladder came into contact with high tensions wires. After conducting the post-mortem examination of the deceased, inquest proceedings were initiated by the police under Section 174, CrPc. TNS

MC deploys staff at 2 parking lots

Ludhiana: After an agreement with private firms/contractors expired, the Municipal Corporation (MC) on Friday deployed its staff at parking lots of the main Sarabha Nagar market and Model Town extension market. The MC’s tehbazari in-charge Tejinderpal Singh Panchhi said the civic body would handle these parking lots from now onwards. TNS

Man booked for indecent remarks

Ludhiana: The police on Thursday registered a case against a man identified as Gurvinder Singh Prinkle for passing objectionable remarks against woman and daughter. The complainant stated that last year the accused had posted a video on social media in which he passed objectionable remarks against her and her daughter. Notably, the accused was in Congress and joined the BJP recently.
