19 test positive for Covid-19 in Ludhiana district

Ludhiana, June 10

Fourteen more patients tested positive for Covid-19 today. The Health Department has received 50 pending reports from the GMC, Patiala. Out of these, the number of positive patients is 17 while the remaining 33 are negative.

The positive patients include 32-year-old female and 29-year-old male from the containment zone, Chawni Mohalla, Ludhiana. Another 45-year-old female from Mundian Khurd has tested positive. Besides, 37- year-old female, 38-year-male, 19-year-male, 60-year-male and 21- year-female, who have tested positive are contacts of a patient from Fieldganj suffering from the disease.

Apart from these, two pregnant women have tested positive, taking total count of positive expecting women to eight. These include 23-year- pregnant woman from Dhillon Nagar Colony, whose tracing is in process and another is 23-year-old expecting woman from Gobindpura, Ludhiana. One patient is from Hata Sherjung while another positive is from Dhuri Line. Besides, three more Covid positive patients are admitted at private hospitals.
