104 test positive in Ludhiana

The number of persons testing positive for Covid in the district once again crossed 100 today.

On Thursday, 104 persons tested positive, while on November 11, there were 107 positive cases.

No death was reported in the district today.

Those who tested positive today included 20 contacts of positive persons, 25 refereed from OPDs, 48 referred from flu corners, two healthcare workers, an international traveller, while the tracing of eight was in progress.

Today, not only the positive cases were more but even the active cases crossed 800 and reached 837. Today, 134 persons were home quarantined.

Deputy Commissioner Varinder Kumar Sharma appealed to the residents to stay indoors as coronavirus cases were on the rise, and unnecessary going out of homes was not advisable. Sincere efforts were being made to keep people safe from Covid-19. He said 104 patients (85 new patients from Ludhiana district had tested positive in the last 24 hours time).
