As the world was grappling with Covid-19, Khushi Sharma, 17-year-old class XII student of Carmel Convent School, Chandigarh, was busy completing her maiden novel The Missing Prophecy – Rise of the Blue Phoenix. The book is ‘an adventure thriller’ set on planet Solaris, where live the masters of the Elements - the Elementalists. She says, “The first book I read was Harry Potter and The Philosopher’s Stone. Before that, I was just reading short stories. At that time, I thought how someone could such intricate plots.”

Since her childhood, Khushi, an avid reader, has always enjoyed creating stories. She adds, “The idea for this book came while I was reading something. But at that time, I didn’t know where to begin. But when I did begin, there was no looking back.”

Ask her if we can expect another one in the series and she quips, “Well, it depends on whether another spark of inspiration comes my way.”
