Tell us about the character you are playing on TV...

Currently, I essay the role of Rajeshwari Singh Rajawat in Apna Time Bhi Aayega. She is a mother to three children hailing from a royal background. She is someone who strongly believes in class difference and is particular about etiquette and mannerism of people around her. To be honest, this is a very different and challenging role in comparison to some of the bubbly characters I have portrayed earlier.

How is your bonding with the cast and crew?

Initially, I was a bit apprehensive about bonding with the cast and crew, considering that I was joining midway. But the entire team has been nice to me. In fact, I have become great friends with Sangeeta Adhikari. It honestly feels like I have been accepted as a part of a large family.

Talking about your career, how and when did you decide to pursue acting?

I discovered my passion for acting when I was around three or four years old, and I used to tell my dad that I wanted to be a heroine. That is how the journey began and today I am playing different roles one after the other. I am extremely grateful to God and my parents for their support.

Any special moment during your journey which you would like to share?

The most incredible moment that I recall was from the time when I was shooting with Alka Amin. There was one particular scene of mine that she really liked and the next day she gave me a bar of chocolate in appreciation.

How has your television experience been different from OTT experience?

I believe TV puts more pressure to meet a particular deadline whereas with a web series, you get a lot of time to prepare for a role. The shoots are also done at a much eased-out space. Both radiate a very different experience that I equally enjoy.

How active are you on social media?

I’m not very active on social media. I believe it is a good thing, because it helps bond with the audience and interact with the fans. However, my social media usage varies a lot, sometimes I post a lot of pictures and sometimes there is nothing.

What is your current fitness and diet regime like?

I eat less of carbs and a lot of salads as a part of my meals. I drink hot water. This is how I’m trying to keep myself fit because during the shoots I do not get much time to work out. However, when I have free time, I go for a short jog.

An actor who is a role model?

Sakshi Tanwar is my favourite. The variety of acts that she has delivered is an inspiration. I have a lot of respect for her body of work and her range as an actor.
