Veteran South Indian actor Vivek passes away

Tamil actor-comedian and Padma Shri recipient Vivek passed away on April 17. He was 59. On April 15, Vivek took his first jab of Covid-19 vaccine at a government hospital in Chennai and suffered heart attack the very next day. He was admitted to ICU on April 16. The hospital where he was admitted released a statement that read, “This is an acute coronary syndrome with cardiogenic shock. This is a separate cardiac event. It may not be due to Covid vaccination.” Vivek had worked in several movies including Rajinikanth’s Shivaji, Kushi, Minnale, Alaipayuthey, Mugavaree, Dum Dum Dum and many others.

A.R. Rahman, Mohanlal, Rajinikanth, Dulquer Salmaan and many other celebs mourned the death of Vivek.
