Veteran actor Chandrashekhar passes away

Veteran actor Chandrashekhar passed away on June 16 around 7 am due to old age-related illness. He was 97.

Confirming the news, his son Ashok Chandrashekhar said, “Daddy passed away in sleep. He had no issues with his health. He was in the hospital for a day, last Thursday. We brought him back home and had kept all facilities, including oxygen at our disposal if the need would arise. He was okay last night. The end was peaceful.” He worked in more than 200 films as well as TV shows. He was also known for his performance as Arya Sumanta in Ramanand Sagar’s iconic TV show Ramayan.
