Once a fan, always a fan! A man started singing hit songs from Juhi Chawla’s films as the actress attended a virtual hearing related to her plea against the 5G wireless network at Delhi High Court.

She had posted a short video on her Instagram handle writing, “Hum, tum, aur 5G! If you do think this concerns you in any way, please feel free to join our first virtual hearing being conducted at the Delhi High Court, on the 2nd of June, 3:00 PM IST onwards!”

Lo and behold, this die-hard fan joined her, making his presence felt with a question— “Where is Juhi ma’am I can’t see her.” As the judge asked the court master to mute this man, he kept barging in. First he sang Ghoonghat Ki Aad Se Dilbar Ka from Chawla’s hit film Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke. On being removed, he kept interrupting the proceedings by singing Naajayaz’s Lal Lal Hoton Pe and then Meri Banno Ki Aayegi Baraat from the film Aaina. The judge asked the court master to lock the proceedings and to contact the Delhi Police to identify the person so that a contempt notice could be issued against him. Chawla’s lawyer said maybe the person is already affected by the radiations, giving a funny twist to the situation.

Well, that is all that it takes Twitter to break into a meme fest. While some found Juhi Chawla’s sharing the court proceedings link on her social media handle against ethics, others had fun with this ‘besura Tansen’. Twitter user Naomi Dutta posted, “Tu Mere Saamne, Main Tere Saamne - virtual court hearings with Juhi Chawla fans.” Another user Unhedgedchatter tweeted, “He should have finished with Mein Koi Aisa Geet Gaaun Ke Aarzoo Jagaun.” A fan of Juhi, Kamlesh Singh rapped the fan for his poor song selection. “This is unacceptable. The man must be charged with poor song selection. These are not her best. OK, Ghoonghat ki can pass but the other two definitely are contempt of court #5G #JuhiChawla”

“Juhi Chawla’s court hearing is the single most funny thing I have heard this year,” tweeted Radhika Agarwal. A user Baba MaChuvera labelled it, “The curious case of unknown singer in #JuhiChawla case.”

Another fan invited the Chawla admirers to put their favourites up, “The only correct thing to do for all of us now is to pick our 5 favourite Juhi Chawla songs: Ek Shararat Hone Ko Hai (Duplicate), Bambai Se Gayi Poona (Hum Hain Rahi Pyar Ke), Main Koi Aisa Geet Gaoon (Yes Boss), Gazab Ka Hai Din (Qayamat Se Qayamat Tak), Mr. Lova Lova (Ishq),”he posted. Even before the court hearing, her fans had started memes. Twitter user Thanos Pandit posted, “Meanwhile #juhichawla to other Bollywood actors! “Panga karo tho kuch bade admi se karo warna mat karo #Ambani” 5G in India”

Celebs too joined the mirth. Swara Bhasker posted, “OMG there is a video! I cannot describe adequately the kinda joy I am experiencing watching this!”
