Sikhlens Film Festival to highlight the rich culture and history of the Sikhs

After the success of Sikhlens Film Festival (India Chapter) in 2020 and 2021, another edition is set to delight audiences in Chandigarh today.

Major attractions include 24 films produced in 11 countries. There will be also be a display of coins and artefacts by Parminder Singh. “It is the world’s premier Sikh Film Festival and seeks to provide an insight into Sikh heritage and culture,” said Ojaswwee Sharma, India Head, Sikhlens, and Festival Director. The full-day film and arts festival will be held at the Tagore Theatre.

Also, Sardar Fauja Singh will be honoured by Sikhlens, as the film on him will be announced at the event. Bahadur Singh, Rashpal Singh Dhindsa, United Sikh Mission, Dhan Sri Guru Ram Dass Langar Seva and Parminder Singh will be honoured for their exemplary work in the fields of culture, education and environment.

There will be a special performance by 'The Musical Eyes'—a band of visually impaired Sikh composers. Sikhlens Calendar of 2022 and Sikhlens channel will also be announced. —
