  • Did you always want to be an actor?

Well, I have been dancing a lot for my school events. I believe that dance and acting go hand in hand. Even in dance, you need the expressions to be on point. So you can say that I have had the basic knowledge of performing, which kept me in good stead for my bigger dreams.

  • Being your first show, what was your reaction when it was put on hold within a few days of shoot due to the pandemic?

I actually thank God that I took the decision of going back to Shimla to meet my parents. My only prayer then was to give me a chance to prove myself with this show. I am glad that Qurbaan Hua was back post the lockdown.

  • How has your experience been so far?

From being a girl from Shimla with an interest in acting to having got my first role in Mumbai, it has been one amazing experience for me.

  • Any challenges that you faced playing Chahat in the show?

It was a big challenge to play a Muslim girl. But things soon fell in place.

  • What new things did you learn during the lockdown?

This time has taught me the importance of being patient and also how to enjoy the simple little things in life.

  • How is it working with co-actor Karan Jotwani?

Karan has been a huge support for me from the time the show was launched. In fact, his words gave me the courage to get back to Mumbai after the lockdown. Also, he helped me a lot when I was alone in Mumbai. His mother used to send food for me too!

  • Now that you have got a platform as an actor, do you want to continue in the acting line?

Of course! I see a huge growth in me as an actor. I was pretty raw when I started. But now, I have the confidence to face challenges in the roles I play.
