How will you define your role as Samar?

Samar is a perfect son for all the mothers of this world. He has all the qualities of a good son and loves his family a lot. He knows the difference between bad and good. He is also extremely close to his parents. In real life also, I am very close to my parents.

How has been the rapport with your onscreen mom Rupali Ganguly?

Playing her onscreen son is an achievement. We have some great scenes together and everyday our son-mother relationship is building up. I am hoping that our off-screen bonding is also seen on screen and people like us. I have seen her work a lot on television and I am a big admirer.

How was the response to your music video Tere Naal Rehna?

Tere Naal Rehna is my first music video, so it will always be very special for me. Aashi Singh was with me in the song and we were given a lot of free hand. It was a learning process for me.

Any apprehensions of resuming work again amid Covid-19 scare?

I am very comfortable because the production house is taking very good care of us. Every three hours our rooms are getting sanitised and then everyone on the sets is observing self-care. Temperature checks and sanitising our stuff is mandatory. On the sets, I am very positive and focused on my work.

What did you do during the lockdown?

It was not very easy, as I have always been working and had hardly taken a break. But I tried to utilise the time in a good way. I love writing, so have written few quotes and poems. Then I have also done a few monologues and learnt how to play the guitar a bit.
