I can’t believe Love Letters has been nominated for a Grammy!!! Thank you to everyone who has been a part of this journey..!”

Taylor Swift has bagged six nominations. Her coronavirus lockdown album Folklore brought her back to the album of the year contest, while her single Cardigan was among the song of the year entries. On the other hand, Harry Styles has become the first member of One Direction to get a Grammy nomination. He has been nominated under three categories — Best Pop Vocal Album for Fine Line, Best Pop Solo Performance for Watermelon Sugar and Best Music Video for Adore You.

Meanwhile, fans of The Weeknd were disappointed as his name was missing from the nominations list. The Weeknd, whose critically acclaimed album After Hours was No. 1 on the Billboard 200 charts for four weeks, took to Twitter and slammed the Recording Academy for not getting him a nomination. He wrote, “The Grammys remain corrupt. You owe me, my fans and the industry transparency.” Justin Bieber also slammed Grammys for putting his song Yummy and the album Changes under the category of Pop and not R&B.
