Tell us about your journey as an actor...

My journey as an actor started when I was about 12 years old. I was spotted in a mall by an assistant director of Ferrari Ki Sawaari and did a few workshops before finally bagging the role of Kayo. Since then, I’ve been fortunate enough to be a part of some fun projects and I’m really enjoying what I’m doing.

You’ve been a part of movies and web shows; what medium do you prefer and why?

I love both mediums, but prefer films. I just feel going to a cinema hall to watch a film is an unmatched experience and has a different magic to it

What are your upcoming projects?

I just wrapped up the shooting of a web series in Chandigarh with some amazing people. It felt like a vacation! At present, I am shooting for a Hotstar web show in Mumbai.

You seem to be a bike-lover; tell us more about it.

Yes I love bikes and always wanted to own one. My current bike was my dream since the time it got launched, and I finally have it; couldn’t have asked for more. Riding in Mumbai at night really makes me happy.

If not an actor, what would you have been?

I really don’t know because I did my first film when I was in the 6th class. But if you would have asked a 12-year-old Ritvik, he would have wanted to become a football player.

Who inspires you when it comes to acting?

Jake Gyllenhaal and Ranbir Kapoor are two actors that I really like, and I take a lot of inspiration from their craft

What role do you think social media plays in an actor’s life today?

I think it plays a huge role in connecting us with our fans in a very personal way, which also helps them to get to know us apart from our characters.

How was life in the lockdown? Any new talent that you discovered?

I was just sleeping a lot, reading, spending time with my family and working-out. I got to spend more time with my guitar and started making a few songs as well.
