Two-year leap; Sriti and Shabir to don new look

Show comments

Zee TV’s primetime drama Kumkum Bhagya is set to take two-year leap. As an all-new chapter unfolds post-leap, audiences will see lead actors Shabir Ahluwalia and Sriti Jha in new avatars.

Abhi, played by Shabir Ahluwalia will be seen as a dejected drunkard who sings only occasionally to fund his addiction. Pragya, played by Sriti Jha, will be seen as a powerful figure in a multinational company, thus adding a new dimension to her character.

Talking about the leap, Sriti says, “The leap holds a lot of excitement for our audiences as Abhi and Pragya’s destiny is all set to change completely. While Abhi will be seen as a broken man who’s taken to the bottle, viewers will see my character turn into a powerful corporate professional at a multinational company in another country. I look forward to approaching the character from a new aspect and hope to do it well.”
