I went with director’s vision, says Barun Sobti, who is playing a pivotal role in the movie 200 – Halla Ho

What prompted you to take up this film?

I feel we can’t be ignorant about things. If your life is good that doesn’t mean everyone is well. This story is important and it needs to be told.

You are playing a lawyer. How did you prepare?

The only prep work we did was to understand the script and my role. My character has a compassionate side which we needed to showcase. I totally went with director Sarthak Dasgupta’s vision and luckily, we were always on same page.

How was working with veteran actor Amol Palekar?

Unfortunately, I did not have any scenes with him, I wish I had. But his presence in the film is a great thing for all of us.

Every time you come up with something new, expectations continue to grow. How do you handle it?

There is already enough pressure because of the kind of script and project I choose. So, while performing I don’t take any additional pressure for success. I just give my best.

How comfortable are you working in the pandemic situation?

Once you have made up your mind, you should not think much. Because, if you are in the panic mode, you will put others down. Just follow all the Covid19 guidelines and take the vaccine. This is all that we can do.

As an artiste, do you see OTT platforms differently?

I feel an actor like me should wake up every morning and thank the Almighty for this. The amount of diverse content that is being made on this platform is amazing.

How do you sum up your career so far?

I am optimistic, happy and content. This is the phase of my career where I am quite happy.

What is your unwinding process?

I prefer spending time with my daughter and some chitchat with my wife.
