Kids display culinary skills

Ludhiana: To enhance speaking skills of tiny tots, Ram Lal Bhasin Public School conducted a Hindi poem-recitation activity. Students recited poems on brotherhood, nature, parents and love. A culinary competition was also organised for senior students, in which they made healthy salads. Students were judged on the parameters of presentation, ingredients used and nutrient content.

DAV pupils ace national science exam

DCM Presidency School hosted the Vidyarthi Vigyan Manthan (Science Talent Search Examination), conducted by Vigyan Bharti, Government of India, on January 19. As many as 118 students of Class VI to XI from across the state participated in the state-level competition. Of the 118, six students from DAV, BRS Nagar, qualified for the national-level test to be held in Chandigarh in May. The first position was shared by Samridh Gupta of Class VI, Mayank Chaudhary of Class VII and Mannat Goyal of Class VIII. The second place was shared by Sehaj Arora of Class VI, Raghvi of Class X and Khushboo Sharma of Class XI. The first and second position holders have also received a cash prize of Rs 5,000 and 3,000, respectively.

Everest Public holds peace assembly

A special assembly was conducted by students of Everest Public Senior Secondary School to pray for peace and non-violence. The programme started with a lamp-lighting ceremony, followed by poem recitation reflecting on peace and non-violence.

DCM students bring laurels

Harshil Goel and Krushna Goel, students of Class VIII and Class X, respectively, at DCM Presidency School, brought laurels to the school by securing positions in the Aryabhatta Ganit Challenge conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). The students have secured names in the top 100 in the state
