Microsoft set to hire candidates in mega job fair

Microsoft would participate in the Mega Virtual Job Fair being organised by the Government of Punjab under the Punjab Ghar Ghar Rozgar and Karobar Mission (PGRKAM) from September 24 to September 30, in which they would offer the annual package ranging between Rs 12 to 43 lakh to the selected candidates.

Besides, the job applicants would get a stipend ranging from Rs 25,000 to Rs 80,000 per month.

Terming it a golden opportunity for the engineering and business students, Kapurthala Deputy Commissioner Deepti Uppal said during a time when many people lost their jobs, fair would come as a great relief as many multinational companies have been offering great opportunities to the students of Punjab.

Talking about the eligibility criteria, she said candidates pursuing BTech degree in streams such as computer science, Information Technology and electronics and communication engineering, passing out in 2021, 2022 and 2023 can participate in the fair.

The selected candidates would be hired for as a Software Engineer, Support Engineer, Technical Consultant, and Customer Engineer with job location at Hyderabad / Bangalore / Noida.

Under the MBA category, candidates studying Marketing, General Management, Information Management, who will be passing out in 2021/ 2022 with 3-6 years pre-MBA experience would be eligible to apply. They would be hired for Business Program Management, sales, with job locations at Hyderabad/ Bangalore / Noida / Mumbai / Gurgaon.

Uppal further said the last date to apply for the mega job fair was September 15 (Tuesday) before or till 5 p.m.
