JEE (Main): Raghav Khullar tops dist with 99.8 percentile

Raghav Khullar, a student of DAV International School, topped the district in the Joint Entrance Exam(JEE) (Main), the results of which were declared on Friday.

Khullar scored 99.8 percentile, followed by Snehal Dhawan and Harasees Singh, both scored 99.4 percentile.

The third position was bagged by Arhant Arora from Springdales School, who scored 99.3 percentile. The JEE (Main) is an annual examination conducted by the National Testing Agency and this year around 8.7 lakh students appeared in this exam across India. Apart from the top three, other students who secured above 99 percentile in city were Piyush Arora (99.27) and Amritdeep Singh (99.27).

Raghav, who wants to take up computer science and engineering as a career, said he was glad his hard work paid off.

Several schools celebrated their success. Springdales School 15 students scored more than 90 percentile. The top performers of the school were Arhant Arora (99.3) percentile, Ajayveer and Gursimar Miglani (98.5), Manan (98.3) and Satyam Sethi (98).

Shri Ram Ashram School students too scored above 90 percentile in the JEE Mains. Nitesh was the top scorer with 96.68 percentile, followed by Vikrant (95.79 percentile) and Krishak Chhaura (94.99 percentile). Of the 32 students that appeared in the exam, 28 per cent students got a percentile of above 90 and 46.9 per cent got a percentile of above 80.

DAV International School’s 10 students scored above 90 percentile. Apart from the district topper Raghav Khullar, Akul Ahuja got 98.5 percentile, followed by Suvansh Sharma 97.9, Khushal Chaba 96.7, Amneesh Singh Arora 95.9, Mehak Mahajan 95.3, Vaibhav Sai 94.2, Dhruv Kalia 92, Suhani Bhatia 91, Chandan Sharma 90.6 and Manya Dhawan scored 90.5 percentile marks.
