Vaccination in Kapurthala crosses 1 lakh mark

Kapurthala: The Kapurthala district has crossed 1 lakh Covid vaccination mark which includes more than 70,000 senior citizens falling under the high-risk category. Till today, a total of 1,02,876 persons have been vaccinated in the district. Two major towns of the district, Bholath and Sultanpur Lodhi lead the vaccination drive along with many villages which have above 90 per cent coverage of vaccination. They are Hasuwal,Tandi Ibrahimwal and Chauganwan and Nangal Lubana. In Bholath, out of the total population, the ones above 45 years of age are 2,354, out of which 2,188 have been vaccinated, which makes it 92 per cent, while the population of Sultanpur Lodhi over 45 years of age is 3,431, out of which 3,286 have been vaccinated, making it 95.7 per cent.
