Police intensify anti-drug drive

Phagwara, February 3

To stop the spread of the drug menace, the Phagwara police today organised a meeting with the administrators and students. On the occasion, Phagwara DSP Jaspreet Singh and SHO Satnampura Jatinder Kumar appealed to them that if any suspicious person comes to their notice involve in the drugs menace, then immediately inform the police so that these drug traffickers could be brought behind the bar.

The managers were instructed to store the footage of CCTV cameras installed on their premises. On the occasion, students also demanded to increase police patrolling in the area. Meanwhile, in connection with the consumption of drugs, the city police have arrested a person and registered a case against him under the NDPS Act.
