NSS cadets plant saplings

Phagwara, January 17

Under ‘Go Clean Go Green’ programme, cadets of the NSS Department of MLU DAV College, Phagwara, organised a sapling plantation drive in Saproar village here on Friday. The drive is a part of a 14-day programme prescribed by the ‘Ministry of Human Resource Development, of the Central Government’. Students planted the saplings of neem, Ashoka and Tulsi.

Principal of the college Kiranjit Randhawa said: “It is our responsibility to contribute our bit in keeping the city clean and beautiful.”A total of 50 saplings were planted on the occasion. — OC
