Married Woman goes missing

Nakodar: The city police have registered a missing report in connection with the disappearance of a woman. Steefan Singh, a resident of Mohalla Kamal Pura here, complained to the police that his wife Priti (33) went out of home on January 27, but did not return. Investigating officer Harinder Pal Singh said a missing report had been lodged. OC

Link road in poor shape

Nurmahal: With no repairs carried out for the past six years, the Baina Pur-Chuheki village link road has been reduced to a muddy track. Villagers have no other option but to face bumpy rides while travelling on this road. Residents said they had repeatedly brought the matter to the notice of the authorities concerned, but to no avail. Dilbag Singh, a social activist and resident of Baina Pur village, said he wrote twice to the executive engineer of the Mandi Board, Jalandhar, to repair the road, but nothing had been done.
