Jalandhar admn gears up for I-Day events

Additional Deputy Commissioner (G) Major Amit Sareen and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Development) Varinder Pal Singh Bajwa, on Thursday, reviewed the preparations for the district-level Independence Day function to be held at local Guru Gobind Singh Stadium, where the national flag will be hoisted by Local Government Minister Dr Inderbit Singh Nijjar.

Holding a meeting with officers of the civil and police administration, Major Amit Sareen directed them to make elaborate arrangements to celebrate the function with full patriotic spirit. The officers also inspected the site where the main stage has to be set up. The ADC also asked police officers to ensure foolproof security and traffic arrangements on Independence Day.
