8,604 candidates to appear for teacher eligibility test at 12 dist centres today

As many as 439 examination centre have been set up for 1,74,325 candidates for the Punjab State Teacher Eligibility Test (PSTET) in the state, to be held tomorrow.

To ensure transparency as well as fair conduct of (PSTET), revised admit cards with new roll numbers, were uploaded on the website – www.pstet.net after conducting randomisation on January 15. The candidates were asked to download the revised admit cards with new roll numbers.

As the entry in the examination hall will only be allowed on the basis of the revised admit cards with new roll numbers, the District Education Officers were asked to get this information widely publicised in their respective districts to make the candidates aware that they should bring the revised admit card only.

The candidates have also been made aware that carrying pen, purse, mobile phone, watch and any other electronic item in the examination centre is strictly prohibited.

Talking to the Tribune, District Education Officer (DEO) Harinder Pal Singh (SE) said 12 centres had been set up in the district at different government schools. He said a total of 8,604 candidates from the district would appear for the exam.
