3 booked for rash driving, assault

The Nakodar Sadar police have booked three miscreants on charge of rash driving, mischief and assaulting a person identified as Som Natha, a resident Mudh village.

Investigating officer (IO) Major Singh said the suspects, were identified as Navjiwan Singh, alias Nanak, a resident of Mudh village, Sunni, and Laddi.

Som Natha had complained to the police that the suspects were driving their SUV at high speed and negligently on February 27. He said their vehicle hit his auto-rickshaw near Mudh village gate. He said the suspects seriously assaulted him leaving him seriously injured.

The IO said a case under Sections 279, 337, 338, 427, 323, 325 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code had been registered against the three suspects.
