25 students of Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, bag package over Rs 25 lakh

Students of the Department of Computer Science and Engineering of Dr BR Ambedkar National Institute of Technology, Jalandhar, have received their record high job offers from core computer science and engineering companies and also tech giants in the emerging technologies such as artificial intelligence, machine learning and data science this year.

Divyansha Sharma received a highest package of Rs 62 lakh from Google whereas Archit Jindal got a package of Rs 51 lakh from Microsoft. Brahamleen Kaur got a package of Rs 49 lakh, Ritika Goyal Rs 48 lakh from Google and Pulkit Sood got a package of Rs 45 lakh per annum from Amazon.

As many as 25 students from the CSE Department have got packages over Rs 25 lakh per annum. Prof BK Kanaujia, Director, NIT, Jalandhar, congratulated the achievers for making the department and institute proud.

The department has been able to place all eligible students this year with most students having multiple job offers with an all time high average package. “The recruitment process is going well across the country and with new highs in placement at NIT Jalandhar. This indicates the faith of tech companies not only in the institute but also the students and their mentors,” said Prof Kanaujia. He further added that the placements have improved from the previous years.

Additionally, the number of companies visiting the campus has also increased with big brands such as Google, Amazon, Microsoft, Deloitte, Goldman Sachs, Mphasis, Servicenow etc. He also stated that the institute is now focusing on starting state-of-the-art specialisation courses in emerging areas of computer science and engineering such as sensor networks and Internet of things, data science and machine learning, big data and analytics. However, information security is already there as one of the specialisation in masters’ programme. “Few students got good placement as well as packages,” said Prof Kanaujia.
