Three killed, four injured in car accident in Jammu

Jammu, June 28

Three persons were killed and four others were injured, two of them seriously, in a road accident on the outskirts of the city here on Sunday, the police said.

The speeding car was carrying seven persons when its driver lost control of the vehicle at Gondla village in R S Pura sub-division, the police said.

The car rammed into trees, causing severe injuries to all the passengers.

Two persons died on the spot, while another succumbed to his injuries at the Government Medical College Hospital, Jammu. Condition of the injured is stated to be very critical.

The deceased were identified as 48-year-old Gurdas Chand, Raj Kumar,45, and Kuldeep Kumar, 45.

Reports said a local farmer had gone to hire labourers for work in the fields from Miran Sahib area. As the vehicle reached Gondla, the driver lost control, resulting in the mishap.
