Srinagar, February 27

On the directions of Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha, three-day special camps are being held at four migrant camps in Jagti, Muthi, Nagrota and Purkhoo from February 26 to 28, to provide various welfare services to the eligible beneficiaries, a government spokesman said.

“The camps aim to facilitate Aadhar linkage with respect to Ayushman Bharat Scheme, saturation of the pension-related schemes of the Social Welfare Department, registration under self-employment schemes such as PMEGP, Tejaswini, Mumkin, through NRLM, and ration card related services,” the spokesman said.

“Dedicated officers from different departments would be available at the camps to assist the beneficiaries. J&K Bank would also provide its services at the camps. The Chief Education Officer would help identify eligible scholarship beneficiaries,” the spokesman added.

He said plantations and greenery development efforts would be made by the Department of Gardens, Parks and Floriculture. Health check-ups by the Ayush Department would also benefit the public in these camps.

“Those eligible are encouraged to take advantage of the camps and avail the benefits of the government schemes,” he added.

“A meeting was chaired by Jammu Deputy Commissioner Sachin Kumar Vaishya in which he passed necessary instructions for successful conduct of the camps. He underlined the scope and importance of saturation of public welfare oriented government schemes,” the spokesman said.
