Jammu, February 22

Cricket lovers, who had assembled at the GGM Science College hostel ground to watch the Ranji Trophy 2019-20 clash between the host J&K and he Karnataka team, have slammed the Jammu and Kashmir Cricket Association (JKCA) for the poor sitting arrangements for them.

“I especially come from Srinagar to watch the keen contest between two formidable teams but the arrangements made by the JKCA are poor. Even the banquet halls have more space for people during the wedding functions,” said Sarfraz, a cricket fan from Baramulla.

Another spectator, Sudhir, said: “People who come to watch the match have to move from one place to another because of the poor sitting arrangements by the UT cricket body, which had invited the cricket lovers at the press conference to witness the contest. J&K is hosting an important quarterfinal for the first time and the arrangements made by the JKCA are not even of the gully cricket standard.”

“It is an encouraging sign that the Ranji Trophy quarterfinal is being hosted by J&K in Jammu but the JKCA should learn a lesson and make better arrangements in future,” he said.
