Jammu, February 6

Buses carrying pilgrims to the newly-constructed Ram Temple in Ayodhya were flagged-off from Doda on Tuesday by Deputy Commissioner Harvinder Singh, District Development Council (DDC) chairman Dhananter Singh Kotwal and SSP Javid Iqbal.

The atmosphere at the Doda Dak Bunglow, from where the buses were flagged off, was jubilant as a large number of men and women pilgrims gathered for the religious journey.

The ceremony was attended by many, including Thathri’s DDC councillor Sandeep Manhas, Chiralla councillor Manohar Lal, and DDC West councillor Yudhvir Thakur.

“With the support of government officials and the community, the yatris embarked on their journey to Ayodhya from Doda, carrying with them the hopes and prayers of the region. The ceremony served as a reminder of the enduring spirit of faith and unity, as people from diverse backgrounds came together to partake in this sacred pilgrimage,” an official spokesperson said.
