J&K: ADGPs, SSPs among 75 officials get new postings

Jammu, January 28

In a major reshuffle in the police department, 75 officials, including ADGPs and SSPs, have been transferred. The transfers were awaited specifically for Poonch, Doda, Kishtwar and Ramban districts from where SSPs have been transferred. Deepak Kumar, Director, Prosecution, who was holding the additional charge of the posts of Director General, Prisons, and Managing Director, Police Housing Corporation, has been posted as DG, Prisons, against the available vacancy.

SJM Gillani has been posted as ADGP, Railways, J&K. He will also hold the charge of MD, Police Housing Corporation. Sunil Kumar has been made the Director, Prosecution. ADGP (Law and Order) Vijay Kumar will hold the additional charge of the posts of ADGP (Armed) and Commandant General, HG/CD/SDRF.

Sunil Gupta is now DIG, Jammu-Samba-Kathua range, besides having the additional charge of the DIG, Rajouri-Poonch range. Sujit Kumar has been made DIG, CID, Kashmir. M Suleman Choudhary has been posted as the DIG (Pers) headquarters.

Shakti Kumar Pathak is now Assistant Director, Anti Corruption Bureau. He has the additional charge of the ACB Director. Haseeb Mughal has been posted as the DIG, Traffic, Jammu. Rayees Mohammad Bhat has got the responsibility of the DIG, Udhampur-Reasi range. Shridhar Patil has got the charge of the DIG, Doda-Kishtwar-Ramban range. Meanwhile, PD Nitya, awaiting adjustment upon repatriation to J&K, has been posted as the Doda SSP. Mohita Sharma is now Reasi’s SSP.

Shailendra Singh has got the charge of the SSP, Railways, Jammu. Benam Tosh has been posted as the SSP, Crime, Jammu. Yougal Kumar is Poonch SSP and Khalil Ahmad Poswal is Commandant, J&K Armed Police (JKAP), 9th Battalion. Abdul Qayoom has got the responsibility of Kishtwar as the SSP. Vinay Kumar has been made Samba’s SSP.
