824 new cases, 14 deaths in J&K

With 824 new positive cases — 540 from the Jammu division and 284 from Kashmir — during the last 24 hours, Covid caseload in J&K reached 73,014 on Monday. The UT recorded 1,408 recoveries during the same period, thus taking the number of total recovered patients to 54,267.

Fourteen more Covid deaths — 11 from the Jammu province and three from Kashmir, were reported during the last 24 hours, thus taking the toll to 1,146 in the UT. As many as 826 deaths have been reported from Kashmir and 320 from the Jammu province.

According to official bullet issued on Monday evening, out of 73,014 positive cases, 17,601 are active and 54,267 have recovered.

The bulletin said out of 1,581,606 test results available, 1,508,592 samples had tested negative.

Till date 5,70,333 persons have been enlisted for observation, which included 15,721 persons in home quarantine, including facilities operated by the government, 17,601 in isolation and 51,373 under home surveillance. Besides, 4,84,492 persons have completed their surveillance period.
