4 lakh pilgrims visit Vaishno Devi shrine

Over four lakh pilgrims visited the Vaishno Devi shrine during the nine-day Navratri festivities, officials of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Board have informed.

On an average, 40,000 pilgrims paid obeisance daily even before the festivities, b ringing the number of pilgrims of the country to four lakh. “The pilgrimage has been increasing every month as the Board is encouraging pilgrims by further adding state-of-the-art facilities,” a spokesperson said.
