4 killed, 4 hurt as vehicle skids off road in Ramban

Four people died and as many were injured when the vehicle they were travelling in skidded off a road and rolled down a gorge in Ramban district on Sunday.

The accident took place on a link road in the Higni-Badarkoot belt.

The injured have been hospitalised. The dead have been identified as Haza Begum, Abdul Rasheed, Zahida Begum and Mushtaq Ahmed. According to information, the deceased were residents of of Shagan Ramsoo area.

Two of the injured, Shahnaza Begum and Mushtaq Ahmed, said to be residents of Shagan Ramsoo area, were shifted to the Government Medical College in Anantnag, officials said.
